The College of Medical and Dental Sciences is heavily research focused and has a worldwide reputation in medical, dental and health research projects. We offer a wide range of training opportunities in all aspects of biomedical science ranging from state of the art molecular genetics and cell biology to patient-directed gene therapy, students working typically with world leaders in their field. Postgraduate Taught
We offer a number of Taught Postgraduate courses and professional development training ranging across our areas of specialism. They are delivered by some of the UK’s most respected clinicians, academics, scientists and health professionals and are aimed at those professionals who wish to further their career.
They are offered on a Part-Time or Full-Time basis and some as distance learning. Courses include Masters level qualifications, Postgraduate Diplomas and Postgraduate Certificates.

Short Courses - Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
We also offer a range of short Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and modules that are suitable for professionals who wish to top up their skills in a specific area. The programmes can be attended on either an assessed or non assessed basis. Assessed programmes usually carry Masters level credits which can be built up towards a postgraduate qualification.
